After our fun day at the spa getting nails done and going out to lunch, Mommy and I went home to get Daddy and go to Grandpopi and Auntie Marie's house for Fathers Day. Mommy packed up some yummy breast milk for me and joked that she hoped i would share. Ha - fat chance!
I fell asleep as soon as my tushy was inside of the car. Mommy says that I am the best kind of back seat passenger... the silent kind! When we got close to Grandpopi's house, Mommy decided to take the scenic route... I think she got lost but didn't want to admit it.
Once we got to Grandpopi's house, we got out of the car and then Grandpopi came running out to tell us to stay in the car because we were driving to go for a walk. I was a little confused as to why we would drive to go for a walk, but i kept it to myself.
We got to the location and we walked to the spot to start our walk! the walk started with a metal tunnel that when you make noises it echos. We walked through it at the same time that a big girl (probably around 5 years old) rode through on a bike with her parents and she whooped it up to make it echo. She seemed like she had a lot of fun making noises.
Mommy said that the walk was pretty. Daddy was going crazy because of the bugs and he put a blanket over me so they wouldn't bite me. I wasn't worried about it but he said that I was so sweet so the bugs would want to take lots of nibbles. I didn't like the sound of that so I was ok with the blanket over the stroller.
We walked for days and days until we got to an old, wooden bridge. Grandpopi then wanted us to walk over this old bridge to take some photos. Mommy was very nervous when we were walking on the bridge so I put on my brave face for her even though I was a little nervous too. We took some photos and then walked over the bridge. We learned that the bridge and that whole walk used to be a railroad track with little stations.
We then started the walk back to the car. Mommy was pushing me back but then gave the stroller to Grandpopi because she kept ramming the stroller into Daddy's legs by accident. Well, she said it was by accident... not sure i'm convinced though because she kept laughing.
I knew we were getting close to getting back to the car because we went through the echo tunnel again. Once we got back into the car, I wanted to make sure we went straight to Grandpopi's house because i was HUNGRY! The fam was NOT picking up what I was throwing down so I started to cry a little louder. Auntie Marie was sitting next to me and stroked my head. That was nice and helped to distract my rumbly tummy.
Once we got to Grandpopi's house, Mommy and I rushed inside to eat. I was starting to go through my growth spurt so instead of eating for only 5 - 7 minutes, i must have eaten for about 20! I was so hungry from all that walking... well, strolling. but still!
Auntie Lexa made a yummy salad that Daddy helped to feed to Mommy since she was feeding me. I love that my family is so into teamwork!
Grandpopi grilled up some hamburgers and Auntie Marie made some yummy veggies. Mommy picked out the peppers and then stole Daddy's broccoli when he wasn't looking. Don't tell Mommy but I know that Daddy knew she was stealing them. I guess he loves her so much that he lets her steal broccoli. They're so weird. Who wants to steal broccoli? chocolate i could understand.
After dinner, Auntie Marie brought out a yummy looking cheesecake. Mommy was stuffed to the gills but after so many months of not being able to eat sweets, she scarfed down a slice of plain cheesecake. I couldn't wait to try it later in my breast milk! yummy yummy
Once everyone had been fed and watered, we sat on the couch for a while to hang out. Grandpopi held me for a while and I tried to stay awake but I was a full and comfy baby girl. Once I finally fell asleep, Mommy and Daddy put me into the car seat and then we went home. Once we got home, I ate again (the cheesecake WAS delicious) and then it was off to bed!
